Katie Lou Kilpatrick Offutt, age 100, of Fordyce, died Tuesday, May 21, 1996, in the Fordyce Heathcare.
Born August 21, 1895, in Dallas County, she was a daughter of the late James Richard Kilpatrick and Mary Edna Jordan Kilpatrick.
She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Temple Baptist Church of Fordyce.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hughie Offutt and one son, Hugh E. Offutt.
Survivors include three sons, Rex W. Offutt of Mountain Home, John Paul Offutt of Prentiss, Miss., and Joe Donald Offutt of Kingsland; two daughters, Evelyn Offutt Howell of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and Edna Lou Offutt Heap of Marshall, Texas.; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 23, in the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd West and Rev. Gary Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Smith-Morgan Cemetery by Benton Funeral Home, Inc.

Rex W Offutt's Obituary and picture

Rex Offutt, age 85, of Harrison, died Monday, February 13, 2006, February 13, 2006, at his home. He was born April 15, 1920, in New Edinburg, Arkansas, the son of Hughie and Katie Lou (Kilpatrick) Offutt. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Matilda J. (Marshall) Offutt; two brothers, Hugh Offutt and Joe Offutt; and a sister, Evelyn (Offutt) Howell.

Rex was a former resident of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and a native of New Edinburg, Arkansas. He was a decorated veteran of World War II. He was a devoted husband and father. Rex was Vice-President of the National Bank of Commerce in Pine Bluff until 1970 and an employee of First Federal Bank in Harrison. He raised cattle on his farm in Harrison. He was an accomplished amateur woodworker and musician.

Rex W. Offutt is survived by his sons, Jimmy R. Offutt, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and Ray Offutt of Harrison; his daughter and son-in-law, Claudia Ann (Offutt) and Lynn Gray, of Harrison; his brother, John Paul Offutt, of Prentiss, Mississippi; his sister, Edna (Offutt) Heap, of Marshall, Texas; two granddaughters, Sarah Offutt of Ft. Smith and Katy Shaddox and her husband Justin of Harrison; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends throughout the community.

Rev. Raymond Edwards officiated the funeral service.

Pallbearers were Rex's nephews.

Interment was in Smith-Morgan Cemetery, New Edinburg, Arkan

Prentiss
Mr. John Paul Offutt, 75, died at his residence on September 29, 2007 after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Smith- Morgan Cemetery near Fordyce, Arkansas Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
Mr. Offutt was a native of Cleveland County, Arkansas, and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a retiree of Georgia Pacific Paper Company.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Robinson Offutt of Prentiss; three sons, Mark of Prentiss, Tony of Flagstaff, Arizona and Mike of Prentiss; five grandchildren, Sandy Offutt of Hazlehurst, John Offutt of Prentiss, Cabrina Offutt of Prentiss, Brandon Offutt and Bryan Offutt both of Onalaska, Texas; one sister, Edna Lou Heap of Marshall, Texas.

Kingland- Joe D. Offutt, 70 of Kingland, died Sunday at his home.
He was born April 19,1934 at New Edinburg ( Cleveland County), a son of the late Hughie Offutt and Katie Lou (Kilpatrick) Offutt.
He was a retied millwright.
He was a member of Rison United Methodist Church.
He was precede in death by a brother Hugh Edward Offutt: and a sister Evelyn Howell.
Survivors include Viginia (Best) Offutt; one son Randal Joe Offutt of Rison; two daughters, Deborah Lou Reynolds of Hot Springs and Tina Lynn Allen Of Kingsland: two Brothers, Rix Offutt of Mountain Home ( Baxter County) and John Paul Offutt of Prentiss, Miss.: one sister, Enda Lou Heap of Marshall, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 A.M. today at the Benton Funeral Home at Fordyce with the Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Smith-Morgan Cemetery.

Joe D. Offutt, 70, of Kingsland, died Sunday August 23, 2004. Mr. Offutt was born in New Edinburg, AR on April 19, 1934 to the late Hughie & Katie Lou Kilpartick Offutt. He was a retired Millright and a member of the Rison United Methodist Chruch.
Mr. Offutt is survived by his wife of 52 years, Virginia Best Offutt of Kingsland; a son and daughter in-law, Randall Joe & Debbie Offutt of Rison, AR; two daughters and sons in-law, Deborah Lou & Robert Reynolds of Hot Springs, AR, Tina Lynn & Kim Allen of Kingsland, AR; two brothers, Rex Offutt of Mountain Home, AR, John Paul Offutt of Prentiss, MS; a sister Edna Lou Heap of Marshall, TX; eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous friends.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM Tuesday August 24, 2004 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Smith-Morgan Cemetery, with the Rev. Don Johnson officiating. There will be no family visitation.

Virginia Frances Best Offutt, age 80, of the Smith Chapel Community, arrived at her heavenly home on October 2, 2015. She was born February 12, 1935 to the late Floyd Satchler Best and Pebble Lorene Easterling Best. Virginia was a homemaker and a member of Rison United Methodist Church in Rison. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Joe Donald Offutt. She is survived by her children, Deborah Reynolds and husband Robert of Hot Springs, Randy Offutt and wife Debbie of Dardanelle, Tina Allen and husband Kim of Kingsland; one brother, Teddy Best of Mt. Ida; eight grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren, and one very special friend, Patsy Wilson of Green House Cottages in Rison. Memorials may be made to Hospice Angels or Alzheimer's Arkansas Program and Services. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. Don Johnson officiating. After working there over a year , he was drafted into the Army Chemical Corps at Pine Bluff, Arkansas. It was there he met his wife, Edna Louise Offutt. They were marriedDecember, 1959, and lived in Concord, California where he resumed work for Shell Chemical.In 1963, he obtained a position with Thiokol Corporation at the Longhorn Army Plant in Karnack, Texas where he worked for 32 years. Bob and Edna had two children, George Edmund Heap of Katy, Texas,and Susan Renee Heap of Hurst, Texas. Bob and Edna were longtime members of St Marks Methodist Church in Marshall, where he taught an adult Sunday School Class for twenty five years. He was proceeded In death by his parents and his brother, Walter. He is survived by his wife and his son and daughter.
