VOGEL 16 May 1896 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Funeral services for Mrs. Menervia C. Vogel, residents of this city for the past 42 years, who died Friday afternoon at the home of her son, Jim Boyd. 2023 E. Seventh Avenue, will be conducted Sunday afternoon had 230 o'clock from the home of the Reverend W R Jordan, pastor of the Carr Memorial Methodist church.
Burial will be at Bellwood Cemetery in charge of the Ralph Robinson and Son Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be a: N. C. Puckett, Earl Piper, Fay Reed, T. F. Willey, Howard Clay and Ernest Thomas. Honorary--- E. C. Cutrell, Jim Piper, Bart West, J. A. Moore, J. H. Lines, Fred Moore and W. B. Hicks, G. R. Holt and Clarence Hersher.
Mrs. Vogel was born in Dallonega, Georgia in Lumpkin County. She was a representative of a pioneer family, being a daughter of the late Jesse Putnam. She moved to Arkansas. Soon after the Civil War, and came to Pine Bluff from Cleveland County. 24 years ago. She was a member of the old Riverside Methodist Church, known as the Carr Memorial, in which she continued her membership to the time of her death.
Mrs. Vogel is survived by her son, Jim Boyd, one daughter, Mrs. M. E. Ritchie, of Dallas, Texas, four grandsons, Marion Boyd, Owen Boyd, E. B. Reynolds and Elmo Reynolds and several great-grandchildren and one niece (Great granddaughter), Mrs. Jesse Morphew of Dallas, Texas.

Note Forrest Reynolds, who is a descendent of Henry Ledbetter Reynolds, change the obituary by adding a notation by scratching out niece in her obituary to (Great granddaughter) Forrest Reynolds was the closest source of information to this family.

Mother, of Elmo Reynolds dies in Dallas, Texas.
Mrs. Minnie Elizabeth Ritchie, age 72, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leroy Morphew in Dallas, Texas.
Her parents lived in Lumpkin, County, Georgia, before moving to Arkansas.
Some survivers include daughter, Mrs.Morphew of Dallas, Texas; one son, Elmo Reynolds, of Pine Buff, and several grandchildren, including Elmo Reynolds JR., Jane B Reynolds, and Mary Virginia Reynolds, all of Pine Bluff; Mrs. HG Swanson, the former Mrs. Ruth Reynolds, of Pine Bluff and now a resident of Burbank, California; and James, Gene and Bonita Morphew of Dallas, Texas.
Funeral arrangements are complete at present.

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Elizabeth Ritchie 72, who died Monday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leroy Morphew in Dallas, will be held here Thursday morning at 1030 o'clock from the Chapel of the Ralph Robinson and Son and Mortuary. Mrs. Ritchie was the mother of Elmo Reynolds, plant superintendent for the. Pine, Bluff Commercial. Services will be conducted by Doctor William E Brown, pastor of first Methodist Church.
Active pallbearers will be James C. Higgason, Dewitt Ross, Jeff lines, Carl Westall, Dick Hayes and Ralph W Sallie.
Honorary pallbearers will be, W B Ward, Judge W. Rountree, Charles Boyer, C.F. Barthet, Ray McEntyyre, Parker C. Tucker, Ed Duper, Jim Hill, Emery Smith, Oscar Keeler, and Homer Smith.
A native of Kedron, Arkansas, Mrs.Ritchie was born July 6, 1874, daughter of the late W.P and Menerva Catherine (Putnam) Deupee.
Survivors include her son, Elmo Reynolds, of Pine Bluff; one daughter, Mrs. Leroy Morphew of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren, Elmo Reynolds, Junior, James B Reynolds and Mary Virginia Reynolds, all of Pine Bluff, Mrs. H.G. Swanson, the former Mrs. Ruth Reynolds, of Burbank, California, and James Morphew , Gene Morprew, Bonita Morphew of Dallas, Texas and other relatives.
The remains of Mrs. Ritchie will be held in the polar of Ralph Robinson and Son Mortuary.

Note ;The obituary states that she was the daughter of W.P. Deupree.

Note Minnie E. Reynolds married. C.C. Richie on 2 May 1898. They applied for the license on 1 May 1898 and the license was issued from the Jefferson County, Arkansas, Courthouse. It might be of interest to take note that Henry Ledbetter Reynolds, Minnie first marriage, died March, 1, 1902. The only conclusion is. She must have divorced Henry and married. C.C. Ritchie in 1898.

Henry Ledbetter Reynolds enlisted in the Confederate States of America Army in March,1862 and served until May 11, 1865 in Gaines Company McNelly'y Battery Arkansas volunteers. He enlisted at Scobey Arkansas in Bradley County, Arkansas.

Suddenly dies of meningitis. C.C. Ritchie, former attache of the police department, passed away Saturday after brief illness.
The funeral of C C. Ritchie, 58 years old, who died suddenly at his home Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock after being ill but a few hours with spinal meningitis, will take place Monday morning at 10 o'clock from the family residence, , number,1105 East Eighth Avenue. Reverend Absalom Knox, pastor of Carr Memorial Church, will conduct the services.
Mister Ritchie death is mourned by his wife, three sons, Will Dee and King Ritchie; Miss. Jesse Ritchie; two-step signs, Elmo and Albert Reynolds; and a brother and several sisters who reside in Tennessee. He was a member of the A.O.U.W. and Knights of Honor Lodges and was until a few weeks ago connected with the Simpson and Web furniture company here. For several years he was in the city's employment in the street department, and he had many friends among all classes. He wasn't honest, hard-working man and a devoted husband and father.

The funeral of the late C. C. Ritchie, who died a few hours ago at his home, no, 1105, East Eighth Avenue, was conducted yesterday morning at 10 o'clock from the residence, Reverend Absalom Knox, pastor of the Carr Memorial church had charge of the services. The honorary pallbearers were Joe White, Fred Blaterwick,Jim Hughes and Major W. J. Parkes. The deceased being a well-known member of the A.O.U.W. Lodge, the active pallbearers were selected from the members of that organization. The funeral was largely attended by members lodge, to which the deceased belonged and by many friends.

Note: C. C. Ritchie is listed in both of his newspaper obituaries as C. C., Pine Bluff Weekly and The Pine Bluff Eagle , also C, C. Ritchie is listed as the original owner of the lot 2, block 261, in the Bellwood Cemetery Records. He and Minnie Elizabeth are buried there, his tombstone is inscribed at Bellwood Cemetery as Christopher C. Ritchie, also the Pine Bluff, Arkansas, City Directory, 1908 lists him as Christopher C. Ritchie, a residence, address 1105 E 8th Ave. Place: Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The 1900 U.S. census, Pine Bluff Ward 1, Jefferson, Arkansas enumerates him as Christopher C. Ritchie, son in law of Menervia Vogel head of household.

Elmo Reynolds senior obituary,
Elmo Reynolds senior, 77 of 1500 W. Seven Saint Street, died Sunday at Jefferson Hospital. He was a retired employee of the commercial printing company.
MR. Reynolds, a son of the late Henry and Minnie Elizabeth Deupree Reynolds, was a native of Pine Bluff. He attended Pine Bluff schools.
He was married to Ruth Hawkins here in December of 1917.
He was employed for more than 40 years as a job estimator in the job training department of the printing company. Mr. Reynolds was a member of the Jacob Brump Lodge, Masonic Lodge, 160, New York Rite Bodies, Sahara Shrine Temple and Union Chapter 40, order of the Eastern Star. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of the Pioneer club of the church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruth Hawkins Reynolds, two sons, James B. Reynolds, of Pine Bluff and Elmo Reynolds Junior of Memphis; two daughters, Mrs. H.S. Swanson of camp Kent, Washington and Mary Virginia Reynolds, of Pine Bluff; a sister, Mrs. L. R. Morphew of Dallas; a step brother; King L. Richie of McGhee and four grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Ralph Robinson and Son Mortuary.

Funeral service for Elbert Bertrand Reynolds, 40, former Jefferson County representative and highway engineer, who died Sunday night at El Paso, Texas, was held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the chapel of the Ralph Robinson and Son Mortuary by the Reverend C.W.Homes, pastor of Ohio Street Baptist Church and chaplain of the American Legion.
Following the services the remains were forwarded to Alexander, Louisiana, where burial services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of the Oliver Masonic Lodge number 84, with military services by the American Legion at the grave.
Mister Reynolds is survived by his widow, who was with him and El Paso his mother, Mrs. M E Ritchie, one brother Elmo Reynolds, of the city; one aunt, Mrs. John Carr of mouth, and one half-sister, Mrs. Leroy Morphew, of Dallas, Texas. Pallbearers were; active-Maurice Reinberger, Henry Williams, L, T Saliee, Henry Smith, J Frank Franey, Charles Atforf George C. Merkel, and Ray Meade. Funeral services for James H Boyd, age 51, well-known residents of the city, who died Tuesday morning at his home, 2023 E. Seventh Avenue , following a short illness of pneumonia, were held at 230 o'clock this afternoon from the Chapel of the Ralph Robinson and Son Mortuary Chapel.
Services were held by the Reverend S.T.Baugh, pastor of the Carr Memorial Methodist Church and the Reverend E H. Koch, pastor of the first Christian Church. Burial was on the family law in Bellwood cemetery.
